Although New Orleans has obviously been through a lot in recent years, my brother has called New Orleans home for more than ten years, so he has not let any of the events that have taken place there deter him from wanting to continue calling New Orleans home. Obviously, there was a point in time when he had to be evacuated from New Orleans, but as soon as he received the word that it was safe to return to New Orleans, he made his way back there and started helping with all of the efforts to revive the city.
Even though things aren’t perfect in New Orleans, a lot of progress is being made, which is why I wanted to go down to New Orleans to visit my brother. I went down there last month, and really enjoyed the four days I got to spend with my brother. I have to say that I was really impressed with all of the hard work that has been put into the city. Because my brother is so passionate about New Orleans, it’s a lot of fun to go around the city with him because he has so much knowledge about the culture and history of this great city.
