New Orleans is a major tourist attractions and even though Hurricane Katrina has devastated the city, the Mardi Gras festivities occur every year since the disaster. Mardi Gras is a French type holiday that literally translates into “Fat Tuesday” and it is a day to celebrate life and all that is available to you. It happens every February some point near the end of the month. Many people in different areas of Louisiana will even celebrate for an entire week and some a 3 day festival but most people enjoy the holiday on Fat Tuesday starting just before midnight on Monday night. This is a great festival for anyone to attend and enjoy the festivities of. Although some parts of the French district will be a little more adult oriented than others, this event is not for children and you can be sure to see some very unique things at every festival.

To really partake in all of the festivities, you will need to find a reliable vehicle to take with you to New Orleans. A quality rental vehicle is the perfect choice, especially if you want to be able to get there in time. Make sure that you book your car rental in advance as well because every year the festivities get even larger and sometimes even too large. These great Mardi Gras party times are where most college students wish to be and it is a good idea to take advantage of a rental car! It is also a great idea to look into getting car insurance as well or check to see if your insurer covers rental cars as well to save a little bit of money. It is important that you book in advance because the possibility of there not being any rental cars available is great!
